Our range “Protectors of the Planet” narrates the importance of seaweeds in saving our oceans. Through this range, we create awareness of the impact pollution has on our oceans, and we developed metal straws and reusable tote bags to discourage the use of plastic.

The South African Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) assisted us in our search for a new range. They discovered a rare book of pressed sea algae by William Tyson, dating back to 1908, and were very generous in sharing this discovery with us. We were astounded at the beauty of these sea warriors and translated their beauty into our new range — Protectors of the Planet.

DREAM PROJECTS
2023
Devine intervention resulted in working with Grootbos on textile development for the revamp of their interiors. The synergy between their ethos and our desire to create products that communicate the essence of protected Biospheres - was a match made in heaven.
We also started dream-come-true and a very successful carpet collab with Monn. Through commitment and passion, this range combines the design essence of Evolution’s collectible ranges and the manufacturing expertise of MONN.

2022
Another great year of exciting projects - We worked with Fox Browne to create products for Lolebezi and La Maison. For the award-winning Lolebezi in Zambia, we used the local flora as inspiration for throws and wall art, as well as developing dip-dyed curtains. For the revamp of La-Maison; a beautiful small luxury villa in Mauritius; we reworked some of our Protectors of the Planet assortment and created new exclusive designs for blinds, cushions, and throws.
We also moved to new offices and launched a new collection that serves as an ode to new beginnings and as a reflection on all the breaks we’ve had over the past years of evolving Evolution Product.
CHARMED CAPE TOWN
2021
We were thrilled to be a part of two great projects in Cape Town - One&Only Hotel and Groot Constantia. We created stunning headboards and cushions for One&Only Hotel where we embraced the Fynbos to Sea theme they wanted to create. For Groot Constantia - the oldest wine-producing farm in the country - we wanted to create relevant designs, so we played with wine as a medium and created beautiful products.
2020
Our 10th anniversary year! A great year indeed as we ventured out on our own to exhibit at Maison et Object - A risk worth taking, with all three trend-forecasting exhibits selecting our range as a directional product. We also launched our first carpets.
2019
Further in our journey to tell the story of precious resources becoming more scarce, we launched our Nymphaea range to shine the light on freshwater resources that are continuing to decrease.
2015 - 2018
Also a very busy few years as we collaborated with a few archives including the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and created a range of textiles inspired by visuals never seen before In South Africa.
Our curiosity led us to discover new techniques in design as well as find a more efficient way to complete client orders.
It was also an exciting time when our products were selected for an exhibition at Circa Gallery in Johannesburg where our products were seen as more than decorative homeware, and more as art and conversation pieces for the home.
We also launched our Protectors of the Planet range; which communicates our concern for the health of our oceans; as well as a few other items to and processes to become more sustainable.
2010 - 2014
It was a great start to the first years of Evolution Product, and the first of many projects, collections, and awards.
We launched our first archival collection and did our first collab with Mr Price Home. Our store in the Watershed called - The Collective - was opened, and we were selected to be part of the CBI export readiness program.
